Rail service disruption to go on for ‘number of weeks’ after cracks found on some trains

Some trains were withdrawn after cracks were found on the lifting points on the underside of the carriages used for maintenance.Rail services on London North Eastern Railway (LNER) are expected to continue for a “number of weeks” after trains were disrupted for a third day due to cracks in trains.
